Service Shop Foreman

This position is responsible for assisting in the supervision of department personnel and directing the work, people and results to produce quality service and ensure all work is scheduled and performed in a safe, clean and efficient manner.


 Ensures our 3 goals are being met at all times in the below order:




 Communicates the safety program and instructions to the shop floor

 Supervises the job functions of all shop employees

 Schedules personnel shifts throughout the shop for the best production/service utilization

 Provides training to new employees and continuous instruction for improvement and development to direct reports

Responsible for achieving the monthly production/service goals while maintaining an acceptable attendance hour to production ratio

 Determines project plan at the beginning of jobs to determine the best production/fabrication/service solution

Responsible for work order scheduling and production in a clean and safe environment that minimizes risk to both employees and equipment

Responsible for activities of all shop employees, including vacation scheduling, shift scheduling and time and attendance reporting

 Enforces the companies and departments work rules and regulations, creates disciplinary actions as required

 Responsible to ensure that shift changes occur smoothly with no or minimal interruption to equipment uptime

 Proactively participates in AFGlobal’s E3 Safety Program

 Other duties as assigned



4.1 Requirements (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

 Good communication skills, written and verbal

 Excellent knowledge of mechanical processes and procedures

 Excellent leadership skills

 Strong organizational skills

4.2 Education and/or Experience

 High School Diploma or GED preferred

 3-5 years of experience in relative field

Physical Requirements

 Able to stand for long periods of time, 8 or more hours per day

 Able to lift up to 50#, must have good hand and arm strength

 Bending, sitting, squatting and walking for 8 or more hours per day

 Must have good eye sight or must wear corrective lenses

 Must be able to work in different weather conditions

 Daily exposure to Production Environment
