Description

Field service tech- Lead Mechanic

Essential duties & responsibilities- Directs and coordinates, and performs the job activities in a manner consistent with company’s goals and objectives

Takes initiative and fulfills duties consistent with company standards, policies, and controllable expense budget.

Take a complete inventory of all parts to minimize investment while maintaining a sufficient level to insure proper job performance

Takes corrective action to insure guaranteed operating efficiency of equipment.

Able to provide guidance and coordination required for the remedial repairs and major equipment overhauls and operations.

Be able to travel (90%) work overtime and is available on short notice. Work regular work hours, weekends, and holidays.

Dedicated to customer service, and maintains professional working relationship with customers and co-workers.

Possesses a strong knowledge of new compressor technologies and comprehensive mechanical, diagnostic, and analytical skills.

Responsible for submitting proper and accurate reports and other necessary paperwork.

Demonstrate ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, and manage competing demands. Change approach or method to best fit the situation, able to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.

Ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner, gather and analyze information skillfully and develop alternative solutions.

Ability to follow instructions, respond to management direction. Take responsibility for own actions and keep commitments. Complete all tasks on time or notify management with an alternate plan


Requirements

Qualifications

Valid driver license with a clean driving record

Ability to speak, write, understand Basic English.

High School Diploma

Customer service oriented

Knowledge of relevant HSE procedures and follow company standards

Preferred Education/Experience

10 + years of compression and engine experience with knowledge of a compressor package including all components and systems

Physical Strain-

Must be willing to travel extensively

Drive and work in inclement weather

Must be able to perform under pressure

Work with the team in developing improved work process for the compression department

Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds

Preferred skills/Experience

10 + years working in the natural gas compression industry

Engine/Compressor schools, training, or certificates

Failure analysis

Vibration or pulsation training

Experience working with the following Engines/Compressors

Engines

Caterpillar

Waukesha

Compressor
